Running The Roads

Biggest thing that has changed since my move? My every day outfits.

Now, more than ever, I’m finding little time or place to wear my favorite heels, nice blazers or faux leather leggings. Sometimes, the opportunities just don’t present themselves.

However this post, is exactly what my day to day now looks like (well, minus work). I’ve been running the roads back and forth to Lafayette to finalize plans on the wedding (eek – like 18 days away!), keeping my Day Designer close at hand & my tote for all of my necessities.

When I purchased these Hunter rain boots a few years ago, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that they would become part of my everyday wear. They are warm, they keep the mud off of my feet when I’m walking around the property and work well as a riding boot when we visit my Neighbor, Dixie. They even work on a duck hunt. (Everyone pick your chins up off the floor. That was a real life situation.)

I’ve also been sporting the anorak lately. This one from Brother’s is perfect. It does it’s job (keeps me dry, less chilled and has a hidden hood) – and has some really stylish gold accents.

Keeping it soft and layer-y is the name of the game right now. Sorry about the lack of “fashion-y” posts right now, but when it’s not in your everyday anymore, it’s hard to fake it. So here I am, in all of my “get it done” outfit glory.

Filmore Anorak via Brother’s on the Boulevard (runs big!!! I’m wearing an XS in these photos – and I’m normally a M or L! Thank you broad shoulders.) | White Hi – Low Soft Tee via Brother’s | J Brand High Waisted Denim | Hunter Wellies | Longchamp Le Pilage Tote | Day Designer | Gold & Gray Tassel Bracelets | Daniel Wellington Watch | Tom’s Sunnies
